The British Heart Foundation : Red for Heart

The theme for the competition is Red for Heart. The only rule is the colour red must be incorporated into your photo.

Last years winners ;

Winner of the Adult category
‘The Swimmer’ by David Jenkins

Winner of the Student category
‘Pulse’ by Tom Price (aged 24)

This particular entry caught my eye;

Runner up of the Student category
‘Heart-to-heart Over a Cuppa’ by Ottilie Simpson (Aged 18)

 "i like to belive it's the "small" things in life that enrich your heart and senses: a coat of nail varnish to make you feel a little bit more pretty; a heart-to-heart over a cup of tea with a good friend; or a delicious, juicy strawberry. Every day, these simple kind of pleasures capture my heart and make life worth living"

I really like the title and concept behind this image. The photographer has obviously put alot of thought into what she wanted to capture to represent what the 'heart' means to her.

Ive just started to look at both briefs into more detail to help me decide which one im going to choose to focus on.

I googled both 'The British Heart Foundation : Red for Heart competition' and 'Exposed : Voyeurism , Surveillance and the Camera exhibition' to take a look at some of last years winners and runners up.

Just set up my first blog , so far , so good.
